This is a used Jeep CJ rear drive shaft.Slide is good.
U-joints are used and missing caps. The will need to be replaced.
There is a small dent on the shaft that you can see in the pics.
Slide opens and closes fines but is currently out of phase . You will likely want to reclock it by taking the shaft apart and aligning the splines.
This can work on 72-86 Jeep CJ5 or CJ7 but only if the length works out for you.
You need to take a yoke to yoke measurement to compare.
My measurements are from center of u-joint cap to center of u-joint cap.
It measures 17.25” closed and 19.25” extended.
U-joint size is 1310.
You can compare this to your old drive shaft or measure on your Jeep from yoke on the transfer case to yoke on the axle at the closest point. This closest point is out on the ear where the bolt or strap attaches.
This gives you the center measurement. You will want at least 1” of play in either direction.
