Jeep XJ Cherokee Front Driveshaft 87-01 Auto 53005542 drive shaft 31”-33.5”!

Used front drive shaft removed from a  Jeep Cherokee with 4.0 motor and auto transmission.

Part number is 53005542

When compressed This measures 31” long when measuring from center of u-joint cap to center of outer cap on the double cardan joint . Open its 33.5” 

I have a few of these in similar condition. All have good slides . Double cardan joint on all is good. Single u-joint is used and missing caps. Plan to replace the single u-joint.
